Which heavyweight you rank higher ATG, Vitali Klitschko or Riddick Bowe

You can certainly make the case that he is the man based on his longevity.Not for me but its a pretty evenhanded argument imo.

There was no choice in the matter, Bowe was mandated to fight Holyfield for the title. The winner of Ruddock-Lewis was mandated by the WBC to get a shot at the winner of Bowe-Holyfield. Lewis did his part by destroying Ruddock and Bowe got the title from Holyfield. Bowe was supposed to defend his titles against Lewis but completely chickened out and threw threw his WBC in the garbage and was summarily stripped. He forever more became known as "Chicken Bowe".

It's been an interesting and worthwhile exercise, and both sides have an argument imo, but in the long scheme of things ,it's not absolutely vital to anyone ,is it?

Vitali's all time status pisses all over Bowe's and IMO would have beat Bowe and likely stopped him if they ever met.
