    Nah, things will be fine.

I've gone for Bowe on balance. It is so close it might as well be called even but I went for Bowe. Despite Vitali's longevity, Bowe actually beat more guys that were ranked in the Ring at some point...that was the tiebreaker for me.

Bowe was better at everything except the jab. And longevity obviously.

    Defense? No.
    Consistent fighting shape? No.
    Boxing ability? No.
    Fight the top fighters? No.
    Chin? No.

    Probably a few more.

I didn't really base my vote on H2H, which I think would be close, rather I went for longevity at the top and consistency. So on that basis I voted for Vitali, even though I'm no fan of the level of his comp.

I chose Vitali. I believe his resume has more depth. Bowe has the best win against Holyfield, and looked great on that night, however his discipline sucked. Vitali stuck to his gameplan far better than Bowe did. Bowe got hit way too much, he was plastered twice by Golota, felled by Holyfield in their last fight and had Holyfield not have had physical issues prob would of been KO'd. Bowe has only one loss but a lot broke right for that to happen. Vitali had better defense, and even came back after a 4 year layoff to reclaim his title. Can you imagine Bowe coming back after 4 years to reclaim anything other than a forgotten Happy Meal?

Bowe's defence was terrible. He got hit way too much and thats why he retired at 29.

Bowe boxing skills were an unfinished product. His jab was good but inconsistent and he threw a big looping right hand instead of a straight punch.

Outside of Holyfield, Bowe didn't fight anybody that great. For an era as deep at the 90s, Bowe's resume within it is quite shallow. He ducked Lewis.

Chin? Vitali has never been knocked down in a fight, Bowe was dropped by Holyfield.

This is very true and it's a valid critique of Bowe. Many people like to glorify Bowe as an ATG but his resume is remarkably thin for a fighter who's career fell right in the heart of one of the division's golden periods.

Here's a link from the website heavyweightaction, while this site is just opinion, they do their research and create a pretty respectable list of the top 20 fighters of each decade. You'll notice Bowe fought a Total of TWO opponents on their top 20 list Holyfield who came within a hairs breath of winning that trilogy and Golota who is ranked 17th and basically whipped on Bowe so badly he ended his career after two fights.

    Sorry if link doesn't work.

How did he have longevity at the top?. He barely fought anybody from the top 10. His brother was at the top.

Tim Bradley was an undefeated champion for longer than Vitali was.

    Bradley 2008-2013

    Vitali 2008-2012

Is Bradley an ATG because he had 'longevity' holding a portion of the title?

Nobody give a rats ass about Bradleys longevity and less so about Vitali's.

And Bradley fought a lot more top rankers than Vitali did.

Not even close to what actually happened.
Are you trying to argue that Vitali has better skills?
Outside of Lewis, who has Vitali fought who could be considered great?
He would of fought him if Lewis got passed McCall

    Reasonably close on resume.

My tie-breaker is who do I think would win, h2h, prime for prime.

And by that measure, I have Vitali.
