Definitely Klitschko here by a landslide. Bowe was great for three years (1992-95). I remembered thinking after the first Holyfield fight that Bowe would dominate the division for years to come. Then his work ethic went into the toilet and he came back down to earth.

Even though Bowe's wins against Holyfield clearly eclipse any of Vitaly's wins his prime was too short. Vitaly's whole body of work plus always being in top shape regardless of who he fought gives him the nod.

I think Vitali and Wladmir are the only 2 guys (and maybe even Lewis/Holyfield) that Chisora could have slapped and got away with.

Id loved to have seen Chisora do that to Tyson, i think Tyson would have had to be seriously restrained by about 10 people!

Bowe probably would have smacked him back, but Tyson would have tried to kill him!

Haye himself said he felt threatened by Chisoras antics and defended himself.

It was an ugly (but entertaining scene), however it did seriously ruin the two potential superfights which were just around the corner in Haye/Vitali and Chisora/Wladmir

Ike Ibeabuchi wouldn't have been a good person to slap.

The Messiah has spoken, we bow to your superior knowledge. You're right, Vitali is just a journeyman who would be wiped out in 10 seconds by your hero Michelle Tyson. :rofl

He was but when was Vitali? Vitali went for the title against the champion at the end of his career and lost. Bowe went for it against the prime champion and won , so in what fantasy universe could Vitali rank greater?

I don't consider Vitali a great fighter. He never had the defining fight to show that he was.

I think people are putting a lot of stock into Vitali's long time possession of the WBC title. While it always looks good on paper that a man held a belt for an extended period, I really don't think the opponents he beat during that time were any better than some of the ones Bowe beat as a non-title holder.
