I appreciate that thanks. Food for thought.

Post up those stats where Vitali doesn't lose a round etc., they might be handy.

I'll say that this is a very tough one. I really didn't think many of Bowe's opponents were very good... either crappy versions of formerly good fighters or fighters who in hindsight were overhyped. And I didn't think his performances were very consistent, from his tussle with Tubbs to resorting to low blows to get Coetzer out to the Golota fiascos... That said, he still beat a prime Holyfield which is pretty great.

I'm going to cop out and call this one a draw for now.

I think Tyson is a miserable excuse for a human being.I just happen to think he was a superior fighter to Joe Frazier, but again, he has no place on this thread.

NB Are you under the impression that screaming insults and obscenities at posters from the anonymous safety of your pc impresses us?

Isn't a discussion about ranking different than a discussion about who would win H2H? I think Vitali had a far better career, even it it's debatable who would win H2H. Probably both would beat Marciano even though he ranks ahead of them in terms of ATG status.

Never lost more than three rounds on a judges card in 40 plus fights. In fact his won vs loss ratio in rounds is the best I ever read in the history of the ring among champions.

In addition Vitali is the owner of one of the best KO percentages in history. He was never floored by a punch. After a 4 plus year layoff he remained a dominant fight / avoided fighter.

They did face similar opponents. Vitali ko'd hide quicker, and stopped Donald which is something Bowe could not do. Bowe could not even hurt Donald with a bare fisted sucker punch to the jaw during the pre fight presser.

Both of those guys fought Klitscko YEARS after they fought Bowe. Hell, Donald was two months shy of his 36th birthday and still took Vitali 11 rounds.
