You said closest to, not exactly. Both men Mayweather and Johnson adopted a flatfooted stance and potshotted their opponents on the backfoot, while using textbook defensive genius to avoid punches. That sounds alike to me.

And as for Zale and Frazier, both men had great left hooks and were tremendous concentrated body punchers. They also rolled with punches well, and adopted a brawling style.:good

Duran--no one, really, but Marciano is closer than Dempsey, in my judgement.

    Leonard--Holyfield

Pep--Ali with the torso movement. Tunney runner up.

    Robinson--Ali

    Monzon--Wladimir Klitschko

Zale--Dempsey would be closest, although Zale didn't bob the same way, but the short punches and body work are similar.

    Mayweather--Ezzard Charles

    * Duran - tyson/holyfield/dempsey(very hard but becuase of his aggresion and abilty the closest thing i can come close with is tyson:verysad im pissed of becuase i cant think of any heavywieght who had that intensity and that skill set dempsey is a good choice but his jab was not a major factor like durans.....i got it after thinking...holyfield small used a jab had great speed for a man his size and wiehgt left hook right hand inside fighter who could fight on the outside...maybe didnt have the agggresion of duran but the closest fighter i can think of.)

    * Sugar Ray Leonard - ali

    * Willie Pep - michael moorer (i'm going to play the red hand and say michael moorer. people forget how hard he was to hit his combo's were ferouciuos and his handspeed and elusivness rivals only the best heavywieghts)

    * Floyd Mayweather - chris byrd (slick moves uses a shoulder roll has a jab and a reverse hand to counter)

    * Sugar Ray Robinson - ali

    * Carlos Monzon - jerry quarry/vitali (i get that feeling that he is loooking to counterpunch has got a jab that isnt for scoring but to keep close)

    * Tony Zale - james braddock (his old school block with his right hand near his chest, keeps high and pushes threw)

For Leonard, I would say Ali, Page, or to a minor extent, Dokes.
