Which HW champion do you guys think fought the most diverse set of styles and opponents? Ali? Louis? W Klitschko? Holmes? I'm leaning towards Louis, who fought SHWs, fast LHWs, ATG Sluggers, ATG Counter punchers, dancers, and slicksters. What do you guys think?
Ali definitely for me. At least when you take into account how good they were at their different styles. But Louis faced all styles also, I suppose.
I'd say Foreman.. He fought them all- Come forward pressure fighters Boxers Ouboxers Boxer/Punchers Movers Southpaw Champions
All the ATG's with long careers faced pretty much every type of boxer. I think Wlad is a good pick too. Can't think of any type of fighter that he avoided.
Holyfield has fought different types, styles, sizes, ages etc. Small and skilled counterpunchers like Toney and Qawi SHWs like Lewis, Bowe and old Foreman, and even 7'0'' Valuev Southpaws like Moorer, Byrd and Ibragimov Middle-sized HWs with strong jab like Thomas, Mercer, Rahman Small hard-hitting HWs like Tyson and Cooper Then he had Dokes, Duoglas, old Holmes etc. Holy had seen all styles and sizes throughout his great career
Maybe Holyfield? Top Swarmer's - Tyson Super heavies - Lewis, Bowe, who he should be 1-4 vs on fair score cards Blown up middles ( Toney ) Southpaws who were world alphabet champions ( Moore, and Ibragimov ) Older legends ( Foreman and Homes ) Pure puncher types ( Bert Cooper, A Stewart ) Mixed Neanderthal DNA - Valuev Quick /Defensive boxers - Donald and Byrd Former Champions Dokes, and Thomas. Iron chined types - Mercer
