Of all the HW that ever lived, who's style is best suited to beat Louis, not named Ali

Possibly Tunney? Holmes if he remembers to keep his left up against the right hand.

Hard to have a perfect style against a punch perfect fighter.

You'd have to be nimble of foot, quicker to the punch, enough pop to earn his respect and disciplined enough to see it through down the stretch and a strong enough chin to survive glancing bombs.

Doesn't really sound like any boxer I know of. Maybe someone like Byrd, Johnson, Toney or Young.

Other than that it would have to be a huge hitter who can get to him first, maybe Liston, Tyson or Lewis.

Frazier/Tyson/Marciano a good swarmer/aggressive fighter. Louis admits that was his weakness,he didn't like being crowded and why he said would have always lost to Marciano.

I've never seen this "quote "verified and the reason is he never said it!.What he actually said years later in response to an interviewer saying, you would have beaten Rocky in your prime Joe", was "Oh I don't know, I didn't like to be crowded". A bit different I think!
Louis was crowded by lots of guys, Musto, Godoy,Mauriello, just off the top of my head.

In the link above it clearly shows a Louis quote stating he says he would not have beat Marciano because of his style. You will probably just say its B.S like the other one I posted so theres really no legit reasoning here when it goes against your view that's apparent going by your other posts.. lol

" I had a bad weakness I kept hidden throughout my career. I didn't like to be crowded and Marciano always crowded his opponents that's why I say I COULD NEVER HAVE BEATEN HIM." J . Louis

Not sure what is verified or not bud, but those guys you listed as guys who "crowded" Louis aren't even in the same stratosphere as Marciano imo.

I think its 50/50. Louis was the better fighter but Marciano for his style was more effective fighter if he could get a clear shot in and Louis had holes in his defense.
