Leading on from a question about the validity of Jones' win against Ruiz.

Which other HW world champions could Jones have moved up in weight and beaten or was Jones timing very lucky and he got the opportunity against one of the poorest world champions in Ruiz?

I'd favor him over Michael Bentt, Oleg Maskaev, Bruce Seldon, Herbie Hide.

Chris Byrd, Chagaev, Valuev, Briggs maybe. Some one who doesnt have a devastating punch or who like Briggs is too inactive. RJJ was just to good to lose to Briggs and had better technical skills than the ones I mentioned above, even though Byrd is very skilled. RJJ was just a lot better

Hide was quite fast and hit waaaay too hard for RJJ, but I agree with the others.

you're out of your mind man. Floyd had the credentials and proved how good he was at hw... RJJ was ALOT different and to be honest I think Floyd is too fast and hits too hard for RJJ to take substantial punishment.

He hits too hard for RJJ and was pretty quick himself.

I agree. Hide punched as hard as Haye was supposed to.

Brewster I guess!! He'll eat shots all night long as he is a very easy target!! As long Roy can avoid the big left hook, he'll potshot a UD12

 @ Those of you saying Patterson and Brewster.

They would put poor RJJ in a pine box, lets be very clear on that.

Patterson would knock him out in the first round.

Ali should be someone Jones could pot shot to a points victory against, no overly big or powerful.

Patterson would have starched him , as would Ezzard Charles and jersey Joe walcott , far too clever and crafty for a HW RJJ.

RJJ couldn't even take Danny Greens punches, yet he's going to take the punches of a man who knocked out prime Foreman?

Oh wait, you're just a troll, nevermind.. return to your business you fanny mug.
