Yeah don’t think that fight is as easy many think it will be. Ofc Itauma has a chance to ice him but if he can’t stop him, Dubois could drown him like he did to Wardley.
Evander Evan Fields Holyfield does not beat Usyk stylistically using his stamina attack, especially if the referee stops Evan from fighting dirty and breaking the rules. He does not possess the power to stop Usyk, and will get his face jabbed until his eyes close.
Tyson and Ali would simply be too fast and too good. Holmes too. Usyk hasn’t seen speed like these men would bring. He’s not one shotting Lewis, Lewis wins. Might beat Tunney just being bigger. Tunney is the real fancy Dan here though. Wlad is a hard one to call, this is the clash of the two most overrated heavies ever. Usyk beats him. 50-50 with Bowe and younger Fury
I think the case against usyk being this unbeatable superfighter is briedis. Briedis is a great fighter, but not legendary. Yet it was a super close fight. And a prime usyk struggled. I think it is important to see, that usyk is still a human athlete. Obviously the greatest fighters of all time have a good chance of beating him and quite likely there are a few bad matchups stylistically. Now one could look for better bigger Versions of briedis throughout history. There you have your favorite over usyk. And even if there are fighters that are to be favored against usyk, they might be an underdog against fighters that would lose to usyk. So usyk might still be the best of all time. Or not. Just saying it's not really so clear cut. I'd be interested most in Ali Wladimir Vitali Tyson (though i suspect usyk controls him with footwork) Lewis Bowe before golota Klitschko fury And maybe doped holyfield for the fun that fight would be
I'll take Lewis, Ali, Bowe, Holmes decisively. I will take Wlad barely/maybe. I'll take Usyk against Tunney and Fury. I cannot even believe I'm saying this but I'll take Usyk to b-...I'll take Usyk to b-b-beat...to b-beat T-T-T-....I'll take Usyk to beat M-Mik-M-M-M...Oh, Lord, this is harder for me than Fonzie saying he's 'wrong.'
Honestly? A lot of the great HWs could. Not cause Usyk's not great, but no fighter is going run through like 10 of the other best of all time and come out unscathed. Tyson beats him imo. Holyfield is a war. Bowe, Lennox, Ali, Holmes all have a great chance.
Unbelievable, using Usyk's wins over Joshua and Fury to assume he'd would beat Ali ,Frazier , and virtually everyone else is mental illness.
Dude had a close fight with a guy who should go into the Hall of Fame, fought that dude in his hometown, fought that guy when that guy was undefeated and in his absolute prime, and still clearly beat him. Why is that a knock on Usyk again? You can't be claiming Usyk is beatable because of the Briedis fight when the guys folks are picking over him have lost, often to much inferior fighters. Usyk would never allow a McCall or a Rahman to clean his clock like Lewis. He would never get embarrassed by a tub like Buster. Plus, the fight wasn't super close. You and everyone else got bamboozled by the extremely fast pace of the action and the raucous Latvian crowd losing their minds every time Briedis threw a punch. Usyk out-landed Briedis in 11 of the 12 rounds. He out-landed him in power punches in 10 of the 12 rounds. This content is protected
Assuming all are in their prime: Mike Tyson: Tyson could beat Usyk by closing distance fast. His head movement, body shots, and explosive combinations could break Usyk’s rhythm. Vitali Klitschko: Vitali was much bigger and very hard to hurt. His jab, reach, and awkward style could keep Usyk under constant pressure. Riddick Bowe: Bowe had size, reach, and excellent inside fighting. He could punish Usyk with uppercuts and body shots at close range. Evander Holyfield: Holyfield had speed, stamina, and toughness. He could turn the fight into a physical war and force Usyk out of his rhythm.
