which is a bigger fight Golovkin vs Brook or Kovalev vs Ward?

GGG is being hammered not because of his success, popularity, or profitability. People want to see the big drama man fight a challenging fight. He is no longer a prospect, or contender, he is a champion. So fight the best take a tomato can or two fight the best then a couple of bums. you get the idea.

However so far this guy has resume of pure tomato cans.

 

I agree, I want to see Golovkin in bigger fights, tough fights anything better than that's being served up now. What's being served up now isn't good, nobody is happy apart from the people making money.

Jacobs won't fight him, Saunders won't fight him, even Eubank Jr (or the people around him) didn't seem to want to fight him. I'm not making excuses but who else is there that satisfies the doubters?

I'm not even going in to the Canelo stuff, Canelo is back at 154 so let's all move on.

Apparently Golovkin wants to unify and break the middleweight record, I think after he does he has no choice at all other than to move up, none.

Even at 168, whats there? DeGale is speaking about Jack and moving up to 175 himself.

Groves? Dirrell? Ramierz? Callum Smith? Are they names that will cement a great resume?

I think Golovkin will be critisied whatever he does, some of it will be justified and some of it won't be so I think they (Team Golovkin) are thinking about money, money and money.

No, it's not good for us boxing fans, it's not good for boxing to be honest but it is what it is. I think we all need to be sensible and reasonable and try not to keep having these back and forth arguments about fights that will never happen, haven't happened or just won't happen.

ggg fans were asking for what they got when he did poor numbers...they said he was gonna take over as the new ppv king....take over for Floyd...he bombed...and they took heat

they were even warned "ggg/Lemieux is not a ppv fight"...but they insisted

when Crawford/postol was announced on ppv everybody was in agreement that it didn't belong there....it was even explained why it ended up there....

A better question would be Ward vs Brand compared to GGG vs Brook. Both are stay busy fights.

Kovalev - Ward is The fight, one that places the p4p#1 mantle on the shoulders of the Victor.

 

As far as I can see, both of those PPV'S were considered flops and nobody felt they belonged.
