Personally for me the Randall loss really bothered me I was a huge Chavez fan back then.

Easy call for me, Buster Douglas KOing Mike Tyson.
The Chavez "L" was coming sooner than later.

buster . . . not even close. JCC already lost badly to Pernell in the ring and Richard steel (the worse ref in history) did a crappy job stopping the fight with meldrick with only 2 seconds left when he was ok to continue. to me it was the third time JCC lost in the ring.

Buster Douglas KOing Mike Tyson. I remember I was in school and some kids started running around yelling something like if some tragedy had happened. I couldnt understand what they were saying so I stopped one of the kids and asked him what happened and he said Mike Tyson got KO'd (I was in shock), thats how big boxing is in PR lol.

Douglas over Tyson. I don't want to take away from what Randall did but Chavez was not as good as he used to be when he faced Randall.

For anybody who was around at that time will tell you that Douglas beating Tyson was the biggest news in the world. I think Mandela got out the next day and shunted it to 2nd spot ha!
But yeah, it was pretty big at the time
