He was an underdog in the Wright fight. Huge underdog in the Pavlik one.

Trinidad - Clearly 160 was not his natural weight.
Pascal - no question marks at all
De la Hoya - blown up
    Pavlik - blown up
    Tarver - good win
    Johnson - johnson weight drained
Wright - blown up + past it

its between Trinidad, pascal and tarver for me.

    id rank them

    Pascal
    Tarver
    Trinidad

Pavlik was "blown up", even though he drained himself ridiculously to make 160, and within a couple of fights had admitted he couldn't do it anymore?

Exactly Hopkins best wins resume is very weak, a major issue I have is lots of people discount losses, they credit people for losing, just for getting in the ring with a good boxer, in ATG stakes there is losing and there is losing but in general terms a boxer should not be given too much credit for getting beaten .

Hopkins record at the top end is poor, no agenda, its poor, there are not many ATG wins on his record.
    The above stats are damning.

So now the Hopkins-Pavlik fight wasn't an almighty 2lbs north of smw, the weight that Pavlik has now admitted is his natural? :huh

The difference between those couple of fights is huge, especially when he developed a drinking problem after the Hopkins fight. He would always make 160lbs pre-Hopkins without too many issues. There's no way you can say that Pavlik was close to his best weight on that night.

Is "now" his natural weight, yes, but he fought Hopkins three years ago. If you want to see how much difference three years can make, in the same space of time, Pacquiao went from fighting Barrera to Clottey.

Besides, Pavlik is still clearly struggling at a weight where he can't impose himself. A Lopez calibre opponent doing as well as he did against prime, 160lb Pavlik is impossible to imagine.
