Boxing or getting people to hate him? Don't be so hasty on your choice.:think Think about it. Many people say it's a persona to get people talking about him. If it is, it's freakin genius. Of course you can see his work in the ring. But it's a little harder to quantify his work out of it. Although some may argue there's no special skill in acting like an ******* to others... And before you go whining that this isn't about boxing, it's the personalities that are keeping the sport alive. Take Sugar Shane. People say he's really quite good, but he doesn't get people talking much. Similar with Pac, but even though he's not much of a talker, most people can't argue that his rise to fame isn't an inspiring story.
Well here is the big reason I ask. There have been interviews of guys who know him pretty well or are around him when he's just hangin around. They say he's a nice guy and quite good natured. But I don't recall ever seeing that in an interview or at least the media never has anything good to say about him except for his skill in the ring.
Because the media hardly can't find any good of him off the ring. Those guys who can handle Floyd around are probably just suckers or same punk as he is.
Floyd is an interesting character, because when he wants to be he can sound intelligent and sincere and be a likeable guy. Then he goes on tangents acting like a thug and throwing money around and flaunting his wealth, which only really impresses non intelligent people. I guess he feels like hes got the boxing world locked up with his skills so by acting like a thug he can attract a whole different crowd which he seems to like to socialize and hang out with.
I think his trash talking is weak. Fans hate him because he doesn't fight the people they want him to. I think fans look past a guys personality if they see them doing what they want in the ring.
