Which is more impressive.. a KO or a clear decisive points victory?

Yes, that is more impressive, but it might not always be practical or possible.

I'm not talking about boxers taking a beating or getting their heads jabbed off. I'm thinking of fighters who just aren't throwing quite enough punches and it turns out they were doing a bit of reconnaissance or subtle stuff along the way, and maybe losing the rounds because they didn't demonstrate as much aggression as the other guy.

    That's true too.
I'm definitely not defending the notion that all come-from-behind KOs are masterful boxing displays, most of them are certainly not. (but then again they all deserve a ton of credit in some way or another.)

I haven't not, but we know the majority of ringside reporters had Walcott winning... It could be in the 2/3 range. We know the majority of the spectators felt Walcott won. So.... you're saying we shouldn't look at those things as evidence that points to Walcott most likely deserving the decision?
