Lol, Matthew Hatton isn't even a top 25 welter. Malignaggi (tho I don't think much of him myself) is atleast a top contender at 140. Plus Pac has some business to settle with Paulie. Alot of people will want to see him break Paulie's jaw for the **** he said. And it's not as if Pac was looking for this fight. Mayweather doesn't want to fight, Malignaggi is a hassle free replacement. Mayweather on the other hand seems to have wanted the Hatton fight all along. How in the world did they come up with Matthew Hatton? I guess it has to do with Mayweather saying he came back to steal fans' money. He figures the passionate Ricky Hatton fans will transfer their full support and hard earned money behind his bro. He thinks they won't see it for the shameless money grubbing attempt it is. Wrong. This would easily be the most embarrassing fight made in my time watching boxing if it comes off.
Malignaggi has 5 KO's in 30 fights. He is a threat to NO-ONE!!! At Welterweight...Floyd Options are limited: Mosley is fighting Berto, Margarito is suspended, Cotto is probably going to retire. But at 140lbs...Pacquiao has TONS of options. There are title holders Timothy Bradley, Devon Alexander, Marcos Maidana and Juan Urango.
