It's been asked before but not for a while. Who is the worst of a bad bunch out of WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO ?

The IBF take their rules seriously but select pretty bizarre mandatories very often.

The WBO rankings are just plain wrong.

The WBC are not even subtly corrupt, protecting weak fighters like Wilder and Stevenson. Just make up their rules as they go along.

But for me I can't look past the WBA and their ridiculous unsubtle money making scheme which is the Super / Regular champion farce.

WBC knocks the **** out of IBF in the semis, WBA gets wide UD against WBO. In the final WBC has a competitive bout with WBA but ends it during the late rounds by TKO.

I regard the WBC & IBF as top tier sanctioning bodies. They're more representative of countries worldwide than the other two.

The WBA & WBO are second tier.

Compare how the IBF & WBO handled situations in which the mandatory heavyweight contender didn't want to face the champ at a particular location or time.

The WBA are so pathetic they can't even supply a world championship belt to guys who they don't want to win it.

They all have their faults. The WBA is probably the worst though. I really don't understand the point of having 3 champs in 1 weight class for 1 organization when there's already a lot of belts, it just confuses people...... it sucks too cause the WBA Super Champ is usually highly regarded. The WBC has their money making scheme in the diamond, gold, silver, cinco de mayo, etc belts... but with them, they don't claim it as a world belt, WBA does which makes them the worst governing body.

WBC,no wonder Canelo got upset when he sees a guy like Wilder who's been so carefully matched and just hasn't had to defend his title against anyone of note.

    They are all just terrible.

It is up to US to stop caring about meaningless world title straps.

Being ranked in the top 4 is more important than having a gaudy belt around your shoulder.

Maybe IBF is the best? They are the only one that I would put out of the conversation for being the worst at least at this moment, so, I guess that would make them the best? Which is odd because like you say their mandatories and enforcement of them prevent or prolong better matches from happening. That is true for all of them. But at a certain point I don't care how much money is being passed underneath the table as long as the result is as good of a match as possible.

The WBO consistently has the worst rankings, at least when I used to check years ago or whenever I stumble on someone posting them here, I'll say that.
