Which scenario is the most embarrasing, most inexcusble.

Biting a man's ear in order to earn a disqualification and avoid an ass-whipping. I still want my $50 back.

Bruce Seldon going down from a punch that didn't land against Tyson was the most embarassing thing I've seen a "champion" do whilst defending his title.
Although Liston was the challenger his flop from the phantom punch in the Ali rematch was even worse than Seldons dive, and Liston's legacy is tainted for me because of it.
    ****ing dog's acts both.

Lewis getting starched by Rahman and McCall - there is NOTHING worse than getting laid out by ordinary fighters in the early rounds when you're supposed to be the best in the world. Patterson and Frazier were fighting ATG-level opposition, and although Douglas is no great shakes, at least Tyson lasted ten rounds with him. With Lewis, it was one....and done. That is about the worst thing that can happen to a fighter against substandard opposition.

Jones getting knocked out by Tarver. That had to be more embarrassing than the Johnson ko, or losing the 3rd fight to Tarver by decision.

For months Jones made comments about how the weight loss had cost him, performance wise, it the first fight. He talked about unleashing "RJ" on Tarver.

Tarver talked of being robbed in the first fight. I don't think he was, I thought Roy pulled it out in the last 2-3 rounds. Tarver made fun of Jones for making excuses. Then before the fight Tarver did his now famous question of asking Roy about those excuses after the pre-fight instructions.

Then Tarver knock Jones out. I don't dislike any fighter, so that didn't give me any satisfaction. Nor did it bother me. I have a friend that was depressed for weeks after that fight. He really called into work sick the following Monday, and he wasn't faking. It really go to him that bad. If it bothered my friend that bad, think of how Jones must have felt.

Tyson easily he got outboxed and whipped for ten rounds which exposed him against Doulglas who is at a lower level that either McCall or Rahman, and just look at the odds!
Would it have been as bad if he had simply been caught with a huge punch in the early going, and not had his boxing skills exposed?

As a Jones fan I had a bad gut feeling going into this fight but I don't think it's anything to be ashamed of.
Roy got caught and hurt and stopped, when he'd clearly slipped that's all. It's happened to other top fighters before and will definately happen again.
A good example of an embarrassing situation is Zab Judah's after the Tszyu fight. He'd trash talked Kostya saying the fight should be winner takes all, criticised Tszyu's ability and opposition, and had sections of the U.S media annoiting him as the future of boxing yet suffered a humiliating knockout along with the subsequent dummy spit which made him a laughing stock in boxing.

I would tend to go with Tyson loosing to Douglas because it was entirely in his power to prevent it.

The same cannot be said of Patterson against Liston for example.

I voted for Lewis' loss to Rahman.

He lost that fight because of his smug attitude. Nothing is more inexcusable than that. I don't see anything inexcusable at all about the Frazier/Patterson situation.

    Lewis vs Rahman.

    Just a thoroughly avoidable loss.

You could say the same for Tyson vs Douglas depending on your view on Buster's level of ability, but at least he undeniably fought a very good fight that night.Rahman was always so uninspired and ordinary.

Tyson in his prime getting beaten to a pulp by a 42-1 underdog journeyman.

One shot suprise knockouts can happen to anyone, particularly in the heavyweight division. What would've been worse is if Lennox was outbox or beaten up for a sustained period, by a vastly more inferior opponent. That's more embarrassing in my view.
