Yeah. Cause getting caught by a lucky punch from a huge puncher is more embarrasing than being taken to school, battered for ten rounds, then KOd by a 40-1 journeyman

Patterson . He was (KOd @ 1) *2 by n older man whom wasn't that much bigger than himself .
I know Liston was bigger than him @ every dimension , but not nearly as much as Douglas was bigger than Tyson or Foreman was bigger than Frazier .
Lewis' outcome vs Rahman was poor , but Lewis was 7 years older , not fully in2 it , avenged d KO with a KO of his own and it didn't end @ only 1 rd .
In addition Liston proved prior and after d Patterson fight that he could b seriously hurt and beat by men of Patterson's size .
So Patterson does/did have n excuse (size) , but much less on n excuse than d other examples in d poll .

 

Never understand why people have polls that are different to the actual thread. Most embarrassing or worst aren't the same. I'd imagine the Rahman KO was the most embarrassing, but getting beaten by a supposed "journeyman" has crushed Tyson's legacy just as much with the youtube generation as it has for those that think he's an invincible God.

being patterson against liston. it ain't a shame loosing. frazier vs foreman is a style thing so no shame in that either. lennox loosing through ko well ko can always happen

 

boxing isn't all about size and being bigger..

 

I think the most avoidable is Lewis getting sparked by Rahman. He was lazy in training and didnt really care and lazy in the ring, trying to taunt Rahman. I think because every boxing fan knows Lewis could beat Rahman so easily then this makes it the most embarrassing.

 

Nothing embarrasing about Patterson's and Frazier's and losses.

Tyson's and Lewis' both were extremely embarrasing.

 

Lewis getting KO'd by a slow motion punch thrown from left field.

 

Throwing a belt in the garbage rather than fight credible opposition
