Holyfield is using it from 47 seconds to 49, wonder what is that and is it useful in boxing? This content is protected
Just cut a steel bar in to what would equal 2 pieces and 2 lbs each. Wrap the steel bar in tape, to stop the metal from entering your body through the skin of your hand.
Seems right and easier... Should I use reaction ball, like hat with a ball to improve my speed and reflex?
If you think/believe that it would help you, than why not. Every fighter is different. If you believe that it works for you than do it. I used to have Greg Owens chase me around the ring trying to punch me. Defensive training, it seemed to work for me.
Wrap a medium-ish resistance band around your back and into your hands. When you punch as hard as you want the band will “catch” the impact, expect with this you’d be punching with a proper shift of weight - it’ll only work for straight punches but it should accomplish basically the same thing but allow you to punch safely, hard and with a full range of motion. I think hypothetically it’d be really good for doing punch out exercises where you just try to kill yourself go for 1min rest 20 secs 6 times and you should be sucking wind, you get what you put in go hard - I tried it.
My cousin said that working with small dumbells like 10 pounds each in your hands would be better than this I dunno...
I went all balls to the wall hard. If the bell rang, I was on you. It seemed as if I could punch for days. I ended up fighting for Fight Night.
I think that Ringside sold that piece of equipment 30 odd years ago. Many years ago I saw a picture of a guy training, maybe in the 1920s or 30s, with a harness on his chest and cables, so when he punched the cables were lifting metal plates behind him. Scrap used to send me videos of various ways that he would utilize resistance bands for everything, movement, punching, just about everything.
Based on the description provided, it sounds like you're referring to a specific piece of boxing equipments, but without more details, it's hard to say exactly which one. If you could share more about its features—like its shape, size, material, or what it's used for—that would help in identifying the equipment. For example, is it something used for hand protection, like boxing gloves or hand wraps? Or maybe it's equipment used for training, like a punching bag or speed bag? Any additional information would be helpful to narrow it down!
