Marquez deserves the fight more in my book. If he wants to fight Manny then he should give into all of Mannys demands, same with Berto. The fact is the best lightweight who is also one of the best pound for fighters in the world wants to fight Manny Pacquiao, Manny should let him. Even if it means Manny knocking him out within 4 rounds (which I think he will.)

I think Cotto vs Mayorga is worse than both.

Mayorga's record in the last 5 years.

KO'd in 6 rounds by Oscar de la Hoya
Majority Decision against Vargas who had been stopped twice in a row by Mosley and was inactive for 16 months.
KO'd in the 12th by Mosley
Then after over 2 years of inactivity, he gets a KO9 win over some guy noone has ever heard of

WTF is Cotto doing fighting this guy? Mayorga has had 4 fights in 5 years, all of them ****. Every single one of them has been a complete shitty performance.

If Marquez almost got knocked out by featherfisted lightweight Katsidis, can you imagine what Pac will do to him in 140.

Marquez vs his same size, faded and shot Morales is the worst ever match up in the history of boxing....

Do you think Marquez will agree to less that what he received in his fight w/ Floyd which he lost? I don't think he will. If he's not after the money, he should accept whatever purse Pacquiao will offer.

If he doesn't then its his own fault and he shouldn't get the fight. At the same time, he shouldn't be butt-****ed into accepting something like a 10% cut while Manny get 90% or some other outrageous amount. It is difficult when dealing with the financial quagmire and a lot of it would come down to ones own opinion. I really can't offer you too much insight into this man, its way too subjective and you can only make up your own opinion.

I will state for the record I'm supporting Shane in this fight even though he has practically zero chance of winning.

It isn't as easy as you think trying to knock out some bums in 4 or 6 rounds. These guys get paid to get beat up, a lot of them will take the best from guys that go onto be decent fighters. You need a decent amount of poise, power and/or handspeed to smoke that many bums.

Marquez - Morales is worse. But not by much.

At this point in their careers, Mosley is ahead of where Morales is in terms of deserving a shot. Considering by the time Mosley actually faces Pac, he wouldn't have won a fight in over two years, but at least been fighting in the same weight division (and ranked). I think if he were fighting the same calibre fighters Morales had been he could easlily be 3 wins and 0 instead. But then again, Mora!? Just goes to show how pathetic both matchups are.

I'm tempted to let this one pass for JMM though, he has at least cleaned out the lightweight division and just defeated the number #1 challenger. Just hope his next fight is the winner Soto-Antillon.

Pac had his keep-busy fight with Margs, so I understand why the uproar from fans when he choses another keep-busy fight instead of facing a credible opponent like Berto.

Anyone saying Pac-Mosley here ought to be ashamed of themselves.

JMM-Morales because Erik hasn't been a real fighter for how long now. JMM, Nacho, GBP, they all know what happens to JMM once he fights Soto at lightweight or any of the top jr welters. He loses.

They are biding their time looking to cash out with a pacquiao fight. I think GBP would like to use JMM as a means to bring status to a fighter like Khan but Nacho is too smart to let them put JMM in that position.

So now I think they are trying to use JMM as a means to bring bad PR to Top Rank by exploiting the media's desire to see a third fight with Pac and their bad relationship with Top Rank.
