Which Joshua fight made you think "He can beat Wlad !" ?

None. It's more a case of Wlad no longer being Wlad. He has clearly diminished over last few years. However I think the long layoff might benefit him. We'll know in 2 days

 

If this was Wlad of 3-4 years ago then I'd pick Wlad, but he's declined too much. He's been in decline since Pianeta for me, he was out jabbed by Pulev before his power bailed him out, struggled with Jennings, lost to Fury and has been inactive. That combined with his age says this is the right time for AJ to step up and face him.

 

Pretty much all of his fights have made me think he has the punch power to knock Wladimir out if he lands flush early but he also seems very robotic and easy to hit which makes me think Wladimir has a chance. Joshua does seem a bit prone to left hooks as well.

 

Yes one thing I noticed was Pulev really put Wladimir on ***** street with a jab in the first round. I hope Wladimir does win because I'm fed up of Joshua being over hyped now, and I do think Wladimir has a chance if it goes past 4-5 rounds and he will have a hard time doing that in my opinion.

 

I just re-watched klitschko/pulev, must have been a mind **** for pulev to wobble klitschko with jab and then to get dumped on his arse twice in the same round.

Anyway, if you look at when AJ has been troubled as an amateur and a pro it's mainly been from a left hook and as much as klitschko may be over the hill I don't think that punch needs to have a lot behind to put AJ on jelly legs.

I hope I'm wrong and AJ wins and McCracken have worked on keeping out the way of that left hook of klitschkos otherwise it'll be good night the same way pulev felt it and probably earlier.

Could do that all day, no fighter has beaten someone good/great until they actually beat them so there can be no fight before then to suggest they'd beat their first good/great opponent, but it does happen. Not saying AJ will win but it wouldn't be a shock.

He can't beat Klitscho. Vitali says it will easy for his kid brother and I believe him. Joshua is just a more hyped version of Price.
