Which Joshua fight made you think "He can beat Wlad !" ?

I really think Wlad is going to land a right hand fairly early and hurt AJ, who will then be cautious. I think AJ will seem very limited when confronted with the boxing skills of a guy that has been champ for ten years. If Wlad isn't shot that is, but the closer it gets the more I feel he isn't totally shot. I got the feeling AJ will get exposed badly, which I dont really want, it would be great if he was the new coming but going by his fights he is still rough around the edges, open to punches.

 

Anthony Joshua is not a good , he is a great fighter.

Wlad's best wins are Haye, Povetkin (with cheating in the worst fight in heavyweight history ) and Pulev.

The rest of his opponents are not really that good , even if they had "every style" in the book , they didn't execute one particular style very well.

I don't think that Wlad can handle a big man like AJ , especially after his last two performances.

Yeah I agree it's early for this sort of fight, the difference in fights/rounds etc is huge. What age did Wlad start boxing? Pretty sure it was as a kid whereas Joshua was around 18, massive gap in experience.

I didn't actually ever think they'd be in a position to fight each other to be honest, always thought klitschko would be retired by the time Joshua got to world level. I do hope he wins though as Wlad winning then retiring after 1 or 2 more fights leaves the division a mess again.

Yeah good point, would be all about he handles it. As long as the hype hasn't gone to his head he could rebound pretty well from a loss to Wlad. If he's become convinced he's untouchable he could end up going down the George Foreman route when he had his bubble burst regarding his power. May the best man win.

 

First of all he won an olympic gold medal , i know that this is not necessarily an indicator for being a great fighter
but he definitely knows how to box.

He made his last fights look easy because he was levels above his competition.
Dominic Breazeale for example is not quite the bum some people make him out to be , he is in the top 10 ratings from Boxrec and Ring Magazine and he beat a good and upcoming young fighter in Ugonoh and a good fighter in Amir Mansour.

The way AJ beat his opponents wether they are elite or not is really impressive , he is the only guy to knock out
Kevin Johnson.

I think everyone with a pair of eyes can see that he is a great fighter.

 

Yeh but wladimir hasnt got a good chin, he panics when he gets hit and hurt. I expect the fresher younger man to have the better reflexes and land first. Wladimir will have to be very slick and defensively sound for 5rounds to take the sting off joshua's punches, he will have to land with his jab and have joshua thinking about whats coming back. Joshua is a decent counter puncher, with good handspeed i think hes going to live off wlads Jab.

 

Peter was better than Haye and Pulev, certainly has a better resume. Think you're generally understimating Wlads opposition but I agree that Wlad has never faced someone like AJ before, I've been saying that for months.
