Which kind of fight do you prefer: knock-down, drag-out brawls or tactical, craft-filled fights?

Nothing like a good tactical fight with two technicians going at it like Mike Tyson vs Marvis Frazier

I like when two defensive (or at least high skill) fighters end up in a shootout you end up with that elusive highly tactical brawl.

The chess matches can be great but both fighters have to keep the intensity high and the score close, that's also surprisingly rare.

Briedis vs Opetaia was a good one this year if you happened to be awake in the middle of the night on a Wednesday.

All of the above, as long as both fighters aren't feather fisted.

It was a good fight but you can't beat a guy taking CW shots to a badly broken jaw and winning!

    Honestly Draw fights.
By that I don't mean Lewis vs Holyfield 1 and similar Draw fights.
Since I'm not that knowledgeable about boxing, I'll give an example from MMA:
Mark Hunt VS Antônio "Bigfoot" Silva; first majority decision - draw, later no contest.

Toney/Mccallum 1 is one of my favorite fights ever. I think that should answer what I prefer.

This is pure eccentricity but calling a real war a draw always feels like a disrespectful thing from the judges.

I guess the gut logic is the fighters took risks so the judges shouldn't take the easy way out.

I forget if I agree with that or not however it doesn't matter because I think Briedis also had a broken jaw? Broken nose at least!

Zab Judah vs Cory Spinks 1 and 2 would fit that description.

Another fight where you have 2 defensive minded fighter that end up getting into a scrap would be Howard Davis Jr vs Vilomar Fernandez, highly recommend checking that one out if you want to see a highly technical but fun fight.

Preferably both. Great fighters should be able to switch between technical chess match and slugfest when need be.

I'm the same with this. Fighters like Chocolatito, Juan Francisco Estrada, Juan Manuel Marquez, Marco Antonio Barrera are prime examples of guys that can be in both intense technical chess matches and brawls. They provide great skills and also exciting fights.

Judah vs Spinks is exactly the fight I was trying to think of but it wasn't coming to mind.
