on one hand you have wlad who has beaten chris byrd when he was in the ring's top 10 twice, once when he was ibf champ, as well as wins over ring ranked top 10 guys sam peter, jameel Mccline, Calvin Brock, Lamon Brewster, and dominated his mandatory challenger.

on the other hand, brittley beat fat kirk johnson, old and fat corrie sanders, and fringe contender danny williams. those guys complete the list of top ten guys he beat. and he went nwa style 100 miles and running from his mandatory.

this is an easy choice. wlad has the superior resume to his older brother, brittley "fredo" quitschko.

however, if you disagree, i would like to hear your opinion to the contrary as to why, and i respect your opinions (usually).

Wlad's resume is far superior, and may well be expanding with wins for another 2-4 years. Vitali hasn't been knocked out like Wlad and lost to better fighters, but in the end, Wladimir ranks much higher. Vitali is more of a "what if". Wladimir has shown he can improve after those losses, and he's a much better fighter now than he was when he lost to Sanders and Brewster; in the first case he had no idea how to deal with being hurt, and in the latter his conditioning sucked which caused an unnecessary loss. But that's boxing.

ESB Members- Thread Stealer has sort of an child like obsession with Vitali Klitschko. I have contacted the Adminsitrator a number of times about him spamming the board with 2 or 3 stupid polls a day badmouthing Vitali.

I have nothing against nor for Vitali Klitschko, but I encourage you to stop this kind of childish bull**** by reporting the first post by clicking this link and explaining how many polls a day this moron posts. I believe he's daring someone to ban him.

The administrator has already started deleting his posts and if he gets enough complaints he will ban this guy hopefully.

So you don't have an opinion to give?

That is very dissapointing, as I believe this is a boxing forum. Surely a "guru" of this great sport can have an opinion on how to compare two heavyweights in recent times, no?

vitali has achieved higher staus, he was regarded as the man and "The" champion before he retired, he held the WBC, Ring and to some the Lineal, he also won the lineal WBO by beating Sanders who had been stripped of it for fighting for the WBC title against Vitali. Wlad is only seen as the best of the paper champs, perhaps Vitali got the credit for facing the lineal and true champion Lewis, certainly he was Lewis`s succesor in everyones minds at the time, Wla dhas still to achieve that acceptance.

despite the ring title (a dubious distinction to give vitali the title, it really hurt the ring's cause), Wladimir, and its not even close. I was reading an old ring mag when Wlad fell out of the top 10 and he has beaten 4 people in that top 10 (byrd, brewster, the boxing banker, and peter)

In my mind VK - Sanderswas for THE title, i think it was fair for the Ring to give VK the belt, even if Sanders wasnt in ideal shape, in his peak or that good to begin with. When he sparked Wlad, he deserved the ranking and when VK lost to Lennox so did he, Vitali was the rightful Ring champ imo.

Wlad has the better resume overall though, he has the more longevity, though more of a natural weakness around the beard area.

Wlad has three title defenses and Vitali has one so I pick Wlad but on the other hand Vitali has only lost twice and we can't hold losing to Lewis against him. I still pick Wlad

Vitali has the claim to never being down on the scorecards. He has only lost very few rounds his entire career. The only fights he lost were due to injury. He was winning both fights at the time. But Wlad has beaten the better fighters. They are both amazing H2H fighters.

Wlad easily has the better resume of wins. That said, there's still an argument, since Wlads losses were SO shitty.

Wlad and Vitali would spar, but Boxing Guru would just cry to the mods like he always does.
