I much prefer Vitali as a fighter. He seems to have a lot more confidence than his younger brother, and this comes across in the ring. Vitali will engage more, and seems to throw punches more frequently than Wlad, who is more cautious.

Has anybody else noticed that Wlad can be very 'jittery' even against opponents that he could KO in 1-4 rounds, quite easily? Whereas Vitali sometimes seems to have a strange smirk, almost as if he enjoys the prospect of beating somebody up and enjoys having someone wanting to beat him.

I know they are both viewed as 'gentlemen' and ambassadors of boxing, but deep down I think Vitali is a bit of an animal (in the ring, of course - when Wlad is just concentrating on getting the job done)

Quite a few people claim Wlad has the harder punch of the two, do you think this is so?

All views and good debate is appreciated!

I am a Vitali fan, have been since he KO'ed Hide. Never really saw the appeal in Wlad.

I prefer cerebral fighters, who are smart and can adapt and learn from their mistakes, rather than the naturally gifted typed fighters who rely solely on their athleticism.

I always saw Wlad as a flawed fighter, never understood the hype and despite an early loss it took him ages to learn from his mistakes. He gassed against Puritty and then did the same things years later against Brewster. Not something that endears me to a fighter.

Vitali for me was always the real deal and has that nasty side to his nature, he can out box you, or put a brutal beat down on you.

Vitali, he's a really heady fighter and has great timing on his punches. Fights with no fear.

I guess I would pick Vitali, but they both have their strength and weaknesses. If Vitali had Wlad's explosive power and footwork then he would be even more of a monster. Wlad is also clearly better at this point in time due to his age.

There's only 1 fighter between the 2 brothers. Vitali.

Wlad is a boxer, but Vitali is a fighter.

Vitali with Wlad's natural power and athleticism would be an absolute beast!

Vitali is the more exciting to watch in terms of actual activity, But I enjoy watching wlad put on a technical display, and his knockouts are certainly the best of the two.

Vitali for sure. Wlad can't take a punch.

Wladimir is the better boxer and fighter.

In the time when it get rough in 2005, Vitali quit and retired and let his brother alone.

Wlad fought his way back to the top, won an excited eliminator and defended his titles several times, making all his mandatories and unify the titles.

Vitali would beat Wlad. He mas more than two punches and a much better chin.

He's also more exciting to watch.

I prefer Vitali because he doesnt fight scared has iron chin, while Wlad is technically better he gives to much respect to opponents even when he dominates totally, he is afraid of his chin he doesnt have chin bad as he thinks he has, he is extremely talented and has all tolls to be attractive fighter to watch but his mentality stops him!

Wlad, he has a more aesthetically pleasing style, he has faster hands (and feet), more power, his punches are almost perfect from a technical point of view. He's also a superb ring general.

Vitali may have a chin but he isn't as good a boxer imo.

What I will say about Wlad is that I have begun to tire of his safety-first approach, yes being patient is a big part of boxing, but the clinching against John Mark Morlock took the ****. I think some of the stoppges he suffered REALLY efffected him mentally, because he is so unwilling to underestimate even the worst opponent that he ends up giving them far far too much respect.
