Wlad slightly, mainly because he was more vulnerable and had to be smarter when fighting people. That said, his last outing was poor but did age catch up, probably.
Definitely Vitali. Vlad goes through the same pre programmed movement patterns in all his fights, regardless if it's working or not. He's never really shown the ability to think or adapt in a fight, a good example being against Fury where he held and leaned on in close quarters instead of throwing punches even when he was clearly well down on points.
He didn't quit against Lewis with half his face ripped apart but will quit against Fury?. Ignorant fool.
Vitali was kicked off the Olympic team.. prolly good idea though.. Wlad was weight drained at 200lbs.. couldn't even medal in the WC.. Vitali is the real SHW..
Vitali had the Higher ring IQ by a long way. Never beaten in the ring by a man. Beaten by injuries. A true monster of a HW, as aggressive as anything and very heavy handed with a real mean streak. I would have loved Vitali to have fought more...but there you go. Wlad earlier in his career was knocked down and knocked out a few times. He was no where near as aggressive as Vitali and had to force the aggression. When Fury played around with him- he did not know WTF was happening.
Is that necessarily something that is reflective of his ring IQ? Or could it have more to do with a combination of durability, stamina, and punch resistance? I've seen Vitali get tagged pretty darn good on several occasions. He seems to hold up better than Wlad. I'm not sure if this is evidence of a lower ring IQ in and of itself.
