With both Klitschko's fighting similar level of opponents who have almost an identical style I was wondering just who does have the tougher task ahead? Mormeck clearly has the far better resume and form going into next months fights but then again Chisora is in his prime and looks to have "the eye of the Tiger" about him right now. In terms of credentials, Wlad has the harder opponent. In terms of fighting a live body, Vitali has the harder opponent.
Chisora is in his prime, has never been down, has at least a decent punch and has beaten (unofficially) Helenius recently... while Wlad is fighting a cruiserweight who's at least 5 years over the hill, has been KO'd twice already, has no punching power to speak of and got to this point by gift decisions against Oquendo and Ibri... do the math :deal
The more dangerous opponent is Chisora. He will also be more "troublesome" to VK than Mormeck will be to WK. He stands only small chance of beating VK, but it is a better chance of winning than Mormeck has. Now, that begs the parallel question: Which challenger has the tougher opponent? That would be Chisora as well. VK is considerably more likely to put Chisora in the hospital than WK has of putting Mormeck in one. WK will stop Mormeck, but he'll still be defense first until a "flash" end.
Neither are tough opponents for the Klitschko brothers - but I'd predict Chisora will take Vitali the distance but lose a wide UD (K will probably win every round) and KO win for Wladimir. I suppose that could make Chisora the 'tougher' opponent.
It's also worth noting that Chisoras body looks really slippery in that picture, Mormecks not as much so
He was... but also in terrible shape in that bout. He will get an enormous beating from Vitali though, I can't see any other scenario besides Vitali injuring himself again in wich he wins... still he's clearly the tougher opponent (wich is quite sad really). The odds on even the British betting sites are very wide on this one.
Chisora is a real top contender. Mormeck is an over-the-hill cruiserweight all time great. Vitali has the harder opponent.
Yes, that is a blow against Chisora's clout. If Fury beats you, and beats you that soundly, you know you are not on the world level. Mormeck is the better opponent, by quite a margin. Good resume and wins over some very good opponents. But that said, I think Chisora may give the better test. I expect him to come out fast and hard.......until he gets hit, that is. Then it'll change his tune.
