I have seen pretty much all of ali's available footage. This was a prime version of him. On his feet moving for 12 rds. But as always, ali will leave himself open with leaky defense. Mildenberger was not a scrub, he was the euro HW champ at the time and he was on the level of a challenger today and a step below some of the guys wlad has been defending against.

I am used to people under rating existing fighters. It happened with larry Holmes, Lennox Lewis and now with Wlad. Wlad, if he continues on will end up a top 10 atg HW and a tough fight for anyone on their prime.

Style wise this match up favors Wlad. Wlad has never lost to a pure boxer, he has only lost to bangers. Ali has a style that is made for Wlad.

If Angelo Dundee had not cut Ali's glove against Cooper, he would have been knocked out! This is true, ask Dundee. Vitali and Vlad have too much for Ali, although I love Ali, not just as a boxer, but as a person. "I ain't got nothin' against no Viet Cong!" Ali was black listed for his political views, but eventually made tons of money by fighting outside of America. America lost money for their bias.

Klitschkos now must do the same as Ali, since they have been black listed by American media. etc.

I say Ali beats them both - but Wladimir's speed and technique give him the better chance against Muhammad. Vitali is too lumbering and would be outsped by Ali on the way to a painful late round stoppage.

Easy Vitali Klitschko in his prime.

    Based on now, Wlad Klitschko.

Both would beat him by a decision now or in prime.

Based on what happened against a 188 lbs Henry Cooper...

and based on the fact that there were no specimens of the likes of the Klits back then....

This question...can't really be answered seriously.... It's just a matter of opinion. The only sure way to know would be for them to fight each other , in their prime.

Both. They are not only quick, but they can punch and are much bigger. Ali was great in his day, but Ali would lose to them. Ali would have lost to Lewis also. Marciano would have lost to Klitschkos as well, but he was great in his time. Louis would have lost, but he was also great in his time, etc. Holmes lost to spinks, lightheavyweight!

Well, I think I would know better than you whether or not I was a fan.
There's no doubt on that count.

Look in the mirror and you will see who needs a dose of 'realism.'

If these matters were solely decided by size and strength, they wold no doubt beat Ali.

But size and strength are not the only factors, or even the most significant factors. Do you by any chance have Sugar Nick Valuev at #1 spot, h2h?

Ali (65/66/67) was the fastest HW in the history of the sport. And far too elusive for either Klitschko to corner or walk down. They would both eat a lot of jabs. And Ali's jabs were delivered with a flick of the wrist that made them sting much more than was apparent.

i do not subscribe to the notion that they shouldn't be in the ring with the man or that they woulddn't do well. Vitali goes the distance and is dangerous for most of the fight. Wlad, might go the distance too, but I wouldn't bet anything on it.

And both Klitschkos are competitive in this hypothetical, and both would beat the great majority of Ali's opponents 1965 - 1978 (including Norton and Spinks)

And either one could KO Ali if they caught him with the perfect punch.

But taking the best version of them and the best version of Ali on the best night for all concerned, Ali beats them both.

You could have watched it from 1908 and still be wrong. Nobody is saying Ali didnt have a good chin or fast hands or alot of heart etc, but the Klitschkos are of a much bigger different HW era, and would make Ali seem small and weak. They would be too much for Ali all round
I just call it as it is, you can try and debate if you wish to, but I think you will find that I have just told it how it was
Well done. Someone who knows what there talking about.
America has become delusional about Ali so it took someone from Canada to come forward and speak up. :happy
