So apparently Wlad got "brutally" TKO'd (whatever that means) by Corrie Sanders, a good hard puncher with a proven chin. So Lewis gets 1 punch KO'd by one of the worst heavyweight champions in years. Wlad gets up, more than 2 times, and then the referee waves it off, while Lewis can't get up. Which one is more embarrasing, the so called "brutal TKO" of Wlad or the 1 punch knockout of the heavyweight champion of the world Lennox Lewis? Remember when you vote, Wlad was an up in coming fighter, Lewis was the champion.
Go ahead and try to make Sanders look better than McCall, chump. We all know what is really going on here. :hi: Sanders, a 10-1 UNDERDOG was seen as a gimmie and nothing but a pro golfer by the time he faced Waldo. McCall as far as I'm concerned was not considered a gimmie for Lewis. Hell, I don't even like Lewis.
I'm not sure I follow your post. I asked which knockout was more embarrassing of those two. You can dispense with the name calling as well.
Nice edit. May I remind you Lewis was supposed to win just as much as Wlad was and he was SUPPOSED to train for his fight as well and he refused to train. He had a movie to make after all. You can vote for Wlad all you want but getting up 3 times while just a contender isn't half as embarrassing as losing your ass to a no talent Rahman. (Oh and Lewis lost to McCall also.)
May I remind you that Waldo also lost to unheralded Ross Purity as well as Lamon Brewster who was coming off of knee surgery and a heavy layoff. He also was decked legitimately by Touch of ****. The same guy Mesi clocked in 1 round. Your boy is damaged goods. He'll get by Ibragimov most likely but his luck is running out this year when Povetkin shares a ring with him.
I'll have to say Lennox, I know boxing is an unpredictable thing, but this happens that was an upset of the year, no shame in it though he destroyed Rahman later.
I think the deer in headlights not knowing what to do when things go bad is worse then running out of steam and getting hit flush.
the look on Wald's face and the fact he got leathered in front of his fans made that one more embarrasing.
Tough call, as Ambition Def already pointed out, this would be the first in a series of panic attacks Wlad would go on to suffer in the following years. I think Rahman is a better fighter than Sanders, and proved it by laying him out out earlier in his career. I would say Wlads, we all knew Lewis' had a weak chin at the time, but we didnt know Wlad's was until that night.
Because Lewis was champ, it was worse. I don't like to say embarressing for either one, it happens in fights, can happen to almost anyone. Lewis had it happen twice (Mc Call) as champ, which is bad. However Lewis did not get as effected by losses as Klit did, Vlad is different guy since then. I give him credit for wins, like one over Sam Peter, but it is obvious he lost lot of cnfidence since being ko'd, where Lewis didn't.
