Roy like Ali never really learned to slipped punches, they used reflexes to dart in and out. And like Ali when that started slipping he got hit. He just didn't have Ali's chin to back him up.

A even bigger one then those two was the Martinez knockout over Paul Williams, as it just came out of nowhere & sounded so hard watching it live & so early in the fight,

The Pacquiao one was kind of missed at first & i needed the to see the full replay & see exactly what had transpired.

I still remember where I was and what I did that night.

Watched the fight solo over on 26th Ave and Balboa in San Francisco (I was crashing on some broads couch at the time) ...then I went over to somr bar on 6th and Clement, I wanna say Rocket Lounge, but I can't remember for sure, there was like 6 bars all next door to each other...

I was playing pool with some stranger and I was like "man did you see Roy Jones?"
And he was like "no what happened??"..
And I told him the news....

I remember it like it was yesterday

Marquez nose was split then pac got a shot which made Marquez leg do the boogy. Jmm backed up lined up Pac with a monster right hand.Roid Jones is a known glass chin in light of what is known now Jones glass mandible.I think KTFO 6 was way more spectacular.

Pacquiao had already been stopped twice and was coming off a bad decision loss when he lost to Marquez.

Roy Jones was 49-1 entering that fight. The one loss was a DQ years earlier because he hit Montell Griffin when Griffin was on his knee, as Jones was about to stop him.

    So Jones was essentially 50-0.

He wasn't chinny, until Tarver knocked him out.

And then Roy Jones was never the same again. He never fully recovered from that knockout.

But Roy Jones went through his whole amateur and pro career, and nothing like that had happened to him before.

Tarver just "broke him" with that punch.

There were two Roy Jones' ... the one before Tarver and the one after.

Whereas Pacquiao came back and started winning again like nothing happened.

The Pac KO was unexpectedly brutal. The Jones KO was surprising, if not shocking. But then again, Tarver did well against him in the first fight.

Marquez knocking out Pacquiao for me. It was the ebb and flow of the fight that did it for me. I'm admittedly bias as I wasn't much of a RJJ fan

    Good one dude!
It’s close as no one saw either coming.
I say Roy Jones, because Paquiao vs Márquez was always going to be a really close match.

Both were a shock but for me personally it was the Pacquiao KO. That right hand was just brutal and came out of nowhere as Pac was on top when it happened.

As for the RJJ KO by Tarver, I was expecting Tarver to do better in the rematch and beat RJJ, so Tarver winning wasn't a shock, but the ease and the manner of the win definitely was.

Watching Roy get slept live after years of amateur and pro dominance was about the most shocking as anything I have seen in boxing. Roy was sloppy in his first fight with Tarver and I thought he was going to bust Tarver up in the rematch. I was wrong big time.

Roy's KO loss was WAY more shocking, 2nd round, out of no where.

If you recall, Marquez dropped Pac in round 3 with a looping overhand right. I had a feeling Marquez would time Pac again at some point. The fact that Pac didn't get up or even stir was brutal though.

Roy being stopped. There is no one on Earth that expected that to happen. Not one person, and if anyone says they did expect it they're lying (even Tarver)

To this day, that is the most shocking moment for me personally in boxing. My stomach still gets jittery when I even think about it.
