JMM KO of Pac I think is more spectacular. For a second my room mates I thought Pac has gone into a Coma. Though the Hitman KO of Duran was also scary, Duran was able to get back on his feet after a few minutes.
JMM's KO of Pac is similar to Sergio's KO of Williams in terms of being genuinely scared for the other fighter. I'd even put Pac's KO of Hatton above Hitman's KO of Duran since Duran was able to get up after.
They're both amazing but the PAC ko was so fast you couldn't even anticipate it. Whereas the hearns ko almost seems in slow motion. I prefer the latter.
Hearns KO Duran was more spectacular because Duran was never KO'ed before that and Hearns was trying to KO him. JMM KO Pac while the former was being hurt badly in that round then JMM threw that lottery punch to stop him.
Hearns KO Duran was epic, but JMM KO Pac was in the middle of back and forth action and the same cannot be said of Hearns/Duran.
Don't know the answer to the question, but the KO of Duran by Hearns was a far more impressive punch than the one JMM hit Pac with. Personally I doubt that punch would have dropped Duran.
haha Duran wouldnt have been so stupid to rush in and trip on a foot with his hands down for that punch to even connect.
Marquez's easily. Hearns was a huge puncher fighting a naturally smaller guy. A KO was a very real possibility going in. NO ONE anticipated that kind of ending going in to PAC-JMM IV. They had already gone 36 back-and-forth rounds with neither being seriously hurt since the first round of the first fight. Most people were talking down the fight saying it would be yet another close decision. The KO was huge and came outta nowhere. Far more spectacular. Although the Hearns right hand was the much better punch.
As a spectacle the Pac KO is more dramatic and impressive. Pac was caught jumping in, he could not have been in a worse position to be hit cleanly so went down very hard in a scary fashion, face first, completely unconscious before he hit the canvas, utterly brutal. But as an achievement the Duran KO was more impressive. He'd never been stopped before and was utterly dominated unlike in the Pac/Marquez fight were Pac had been on top in a very competitive fight. Hearns dominated a top 10 ATG from the opening bell, battered him for every minute of every round before giving us the coup de grace with a chilling KO.
