:good And I look forward to seeing PBF slice hatton to shreds, although I wsih he would go at Shane first.
this fight did nothing to hurt Hoya's legacy because of who he lost to(PBF) and the fact that he was a little past his prime and lost a split decision(although it's funny how a week later Cory spinks fight a near indentical fight but loses it and all the so-called expert's claim you can't "beat the champ" without engaging in an actual fight?) Boxing's politics are still just BS!!!! until this fight all PBF has fought was either "has been's" or "wanna be's" never a superfight until Hoya! but a "past-his-prime" Hoya my questions is why does he continuely go around or "outprice" or "talk his way out of" a fight with Sugar Shane Mosley??? thats the fight the PUBLIC should demand!!!:bbb for PBF to even become a legend(he has not done enough to earn it yet(unless you are on his nuthugger club then you don't think so but) he will have to at least fight and beat Haton,Cotto, margarito,Cintron and williams and he should first fight Mosley but he is not ready to lose yet so he will dance around that fight!:nono
I don't think this makes or breaks Oscar his legacy was cemented long before Mayweather ..All he did was give up a few pts ..Meanwhile for Mayweather he still needs his legacy a little more polished considering how he won ..Right now his accolades in the divisons he captured titles in gets him in the HOF ..But who will he be ranked over ? Another solid win leaves very little up for debate ..
he won the fight hands down it was the judges that made it closer then what it really was.neither fighter legacy was hurt, pbf was told he never fought anyone and he fought the legend in oscar.oscar is credited for fighting the best in his era and he just went toe to toe with the p4p king. it all depnds on how you look at the fight and thats how i looked at it.pbf made about 25 million and odh 50 million.man them boys got payed and there legacy is straight dawg
oh god please tell me your J/K right? Oscar went into this Boxing match to actually FIGHT! he was not prepared to play tag? whatever happened to the old rule of thumb, where a challenger had to take the title from the champ but either Knocking the champ out or at least dominating him? that was not a "FIGHT" but more like a game of "Hide and seek"
It's a myth. An unwritten rule, but plenty of fighters have lost titles on close decisions or fights in which they were not dominated.
No it doesn't. Mayweather really has no business @ 154. We've seen what happens when you can move up too much in weight. Look at Oscar @ 160. 130-35: Mayweather 140: Pick-em 147: Oscar Actually 135 is pretty tough to call as well. Floyd is more experienced though by the time he got to 135, although he was way less dominant there than Oscar was. Maybe 135 is more of a pick-em than 140. Doesn't really matter, mythical matchups aren't that important to legacies and all-time standings IMO.
