funny thing about staying in Germany and away from the bigger stage (the US) is that fights with much bigger fish don't come looking for you. you have to earn it.
like I said to the other poster - Abraham, sturm, ottke, stieglitz, michaelweski - look at the best fighters in the world at their preferred weight, and they didn't fight one of them

it's a safe, get rich quick scheme - pioneered by ottke and followed by the others - whereby a fighter picks up a paper belt, stays away from the international limelight, maintains a lucrative TV contract so long as they hold a paper belt, and gullible locals buy into there illusionary status

Michael Katsidis can never be classed as elite and is now broke but he was entertaining even when beaten.

    I don't know what you're talking about.

He defened his IBF MW belt against bogey man Miranda in the States.

When Sturm and Pavlik openly ducked him he moved up to join the Super 6 in America where he fought the best fighters in the world away from home.

He fought one of best 168 pounders Ramariez in the states . And he just fought the other potential best 168 pounder in England.

Arthur fought his Roy Jones's and Joe Calzaghe's .. Who did Ottkas and DMs fight ??? Nobody.. When did they ever leave their back yard ?? NEVER.

King Arthur put those guys to shame.

Emmanuel Augustus. His record doesn't do justice to his great skills. WHen he was on he's one of the most watchable fighters Ive come across.

i absolutely give credit to Abraham moving up to try his hand at SMW (even though it exposed him as a very limited fighter), hence why I worded my post referring to the fighters' "preferred weight".
pavlik didn't 'duck abraham' just because Abraham had one fight in the US, he needed to follow that up in the same way ricky hatton did when he earnt his fights against Floyd and pacman
sturm, of course, shamelessly avoided any quality MW - including golovkin when he was in his own stable!

Lol I have a soft spot for him but the real problem with him as shown on his stint in the jungle is he’s a thick as **** and just doesn’t have the boxing brain to match his talent if he had of been smarter he’d have beaten Garcia and avoided being KOd inc Canelo but he never learns, just falls in love with his speed and then wham same thing happens.
