Certainly not McCall or Rahman, zero chance for both. No chances for Ruddock, Bruno or Mercer. 37 y.o. Evander? Highly unlikely Maybe Vitali? What do you think guys?
None. Holyfield was much more worn out at 37 than Usyk is. 3 wars vs Bowe, 2 vs Moorer, 1 tough fight vs Tyson 1 vs Foreman and Mercer, Qawi, etc. He was less than a year away from struggling vs John Ruiz. I guarantee you that Usyk is not less than a year away from struggling vs John Ruiz. Vitali and Mercer are the only ones who could give him a hard night. Tua has a 5% punchers chance. But i don't think Vitali and Mercer can beat him.
Could have? Any of them. Which would I favour? On an individual basis, none of them. Would Usyk have been able to match the success over the same timeframe that Lewis achieved, against the same opponents, that's harder to say.
I'm slowly starting to think that Usyk is not really all that great and it really just shows the state of heavyweight division. I feel like guys like Bruno,Tua , guys ilke that would give Usyk trouble. The thing with Usyk in my opinion is that his level of competition makes him look better than he is. It is getting to the point where Usyk is the new Mike Tyson. He just didn't have the opponents. I personally am of the opinion that,as much as people like to downplay Tyson's opponents, just looking at them, they look like they have more skill than anything Usyk has fought.
At the time lewis fought them? Holyfield and vitali would be the toughest tests and I'd favour usyk to win, especially vitali If it is lewis opponents at their best? I think Mike would beat usyk This Is the beauty of the sport, especially the heavyweight division. Tyson could be favoured over usyk, Vitali favoured over Tyson and usyk does a number on Vitali
None, but possibly: David Tua being the shorter man with an iron chin, dangerous power, solid work rate, getting into the inside Usyk's guard. Evander Holyfield being the shorter man leading in with his head, getting a few headbutts. Mike Tyson for the first 4 rounds. Vitali Klitskcho without the cut up face.
The issue is that when people do threads like this they're unrealistic you're pitting a prime 100 percent Usyk in every fight against Lewis's opposition and that's not a realistic scenario. Lewis in 13 years fought over 40 professional fights Usyk has had pretty much half the amount of professional fights in the same time frame. Usyk would be having wear tear he'd fighting consistently over 13 years with 40 over professional fights against a whole host of different styles. Remember Usyk would be turning professional strictly as a Heavyweight fresh out of the amateurs he wouldn't be fighting as a Cruiserweight for the 1st half of his career if we're following the same timeline as Lewis's career.
Vitali Klitschko capable of beating anyone in his prime, Iron Mike a danger to anyone, Bruno capable of a huge KO on anyone in first half of fight and Usyk v Holyfield would be a great fight.
