Which 175pounder , who held the world title had the best one punch power?

    Contenders for this could include:
    Bob Foster
    Bob Fitzsimmons
    Archie Moore
    Mike Spinks
    Sergey Kovalev
    Adonis Stevenson
    Etc
    Who is your pick?
I go for Bob Foster! Sub Bob Fitzsimmons, who could easily replace him.

Welcome back mcvey. I would say it's close between foster and Fitz. Both guys had sickening power as there records testify. Probably Moore third place and spinks close by. But if had to choose the top banger it's foster.

It is legit. By far the heaviest 1 punch at light Heavy currently..Foster wrecked a better quality of fighters though..He gets my vote all day long

    Fitz.

“Whilst physicians were examining him, Ruhlin opened his eyes and faintly asked for water. This was given him as he again lapsed into a sort of stupor. Blood at this time was trickling from his ears and nose.”—The San Francisco Call

By the time Fitz got to the newly created crown he had lost a bit of spark to old age. Have to go with Foster. He had scary power. I would put Mike Moorer in, also.

I agree, he was an old man by the time he beat Gardner, tbh I totally forgot about Moorer, he definitely is in the mix!

Ruhlin spent the night on a makeshift cot in MSG, he was too ill to move,he lapsed in and out of consciousness for 24 hours. The next day he was moved to his manager's home for recuperation I am really thinking about the boxers as they were when they won/held the 175lbs crown, that decided me to go for Foster.Fitz's power had diminished when he beat Gardner ,he had suffered with bad hands for years.Gilbert Odd states that Fitz ended the Gardner fight with his shoes filled with blood ,caused by huge blisters on the soles of his feet.
