If we could replace Moore in Rocky's last fight with any other light heavy moving up ,who do you pick with the best chance of victory?

    1948 Charles, 1941 Conn, 1984 Spinks, or 1925 Tunney

They have the best shot. I would still pick the rock

Yep ,all those could prove them self s against a winding down Rock. I personally had spinks or Tunney. Both awkward in there own ways, great Chin and heart when the going gets tough.

But remember Mark,Rocky was on his way out against Moore, Tyson was just hitting his stride. Spinks as would be up for the challenge against a ageing Marciano ,as he was Holmes .

I think Holmes was more far gone than Marciano was at that point, he looked really clumsy.

I read a quote once that Sam had the punching power all the way to heavyweight, comparable to Tyson. This guy could in all honesty do some serious damage to Rock. You have to give him a fair shot ,what ever weight Langford started out at .

Id give Marciano the edge against a 175lbs Langfrod but wouldn't bet on it.Clay Moyle who knows far more about Sam than I do, reckons 175/180lbs was the best weight for Langford.

Interesting match up though, sound s like Sam missed out on getting a title shot at any weight. One of those that had a lot going for him but never given a opportunity.
