The best chances are Conn and Tunney, Archie would beat Spinks, Loughran was tough...Ezzard was never a champion at this weight but If he was he would have the best chance to beat all for the most part.

Would anyone give Harold Johnson a chance? He beat Moore once in there series, but generally is regarded as coming off second best. Surely a win in a title fight against Moore isnt beyond the realm of reality.

I think a peak Moore would beat Harold Johnson most of the time, but he wisely never had a sixth fight with Harold in the early 1960's when Harold held the title.

I'm just saying Johnson has an outside chance IMO, I would not expect him to win though.

A sixth fight was wanted at the time from what I can gather, maybe would have drastically improved Johnson's standing.

Moore said he was willing to give Harold Johnson another chance in a post-fight interview after decisively avenging the earlier loss to Giulio Rinaldi. I wonder what happened to that, perhaps he just couldn't make the weight anymore and gave up the title instead.

Not sure, but the time was right for Johnson IMO.

I think a rematch between Pastrano vs Johnson was more important but it never really came off, which was a shame.
