Same, I usually consider his best condition at 200, thats why i specified the Schmeling fight

^Louis at 203lbs against Godoy, with quad separation, 3d delts and visible abs, great weight for him

Yeah he was muscular at that weight. And without steroids.

George Foreman said that it was Joe Louis who advised him to utilize the uppercut against Frazier. Louis said that's what he would have done if he was fighting Frazier. I don't think Louis knew anything about Godoy going into their fight. The second time around Louis put on a "how to" on dismantling a crouching, crowding fighter.

Lol I can understand you picking Louis,Dempsey and/or Marciano to beat Frazier...but beat him to a pulp is humorous.

I would call Frazier Marciano a dream fight (along with Holyfield vs either of them). I would pick Frazier but call them 50/50 type fights.

I rank Frazier 11th H2H, I rank Marciano, Dempsey and Louis in the top 5

I didn't mean that it would be 1 sided, I more meant Frazier's face would look like it went through a meat grinder after

But Foreman used brute strength to push Frazier off balance THEN he nailed him with the uppercuts, I don't see Louis though technical wise far better than Foreman, have that type of physicality and brute strength to do that.

Joe Frazier was not Arturo Godoy. Louis was a beautiful technician but he never fought anybody as good as a prime Frazier with the possible exception of Schmeling. But Frazier would be an entirely different stylist than Max. Sure, there's the uppercut, a well-known answer to a croucher, but Frazier wouldn't just be crouching, he would be crowding, moving his head, and covering his jaw as he moved in. To my mind, the fight would be a tossup. Frazier would be stronger than Joe, and Joe wouldn't be able to keep him on the end of his jab like Foreman. Joe was a better technician than Foreman, but he was nowhere near as strong or with hands as fast as George in his young prime. Obviously, a lot of my perceptions are up for debate, but that is how I see it.

Frazier beat an Ali who was of a magnitude 10 times better than anyone Dempsey or Marciano beat. The only defeats Frazier suffered were in his slide after being one of the top two heavyweights in the world for 7 years straight with a kamikaze march forward style not made for longevity. Only then did he start to lose, and only to two men (one of whom he had already defeated) and both of whom weighed at least 209 or more on these occasions.

Let's remember the facts and the context.

But Ali was standing flat footed with Frazier and decking him with combinations at will during their first fight. And Louis had accuracy comparable to Ali but with much more firepower. Imagine Louis landing right hands and combinations at will on Frazier. Repeatedly.

True, but would Louis make it that far? Louis didn't have Ali's chin, or physical toughness. I love J Louis but Frazier in my opinion is all wrong for him.

I think Joe Louis beats Frazier.
And I see Frazier vs Marciano, Dempsey, Holyfield and a trim Jack Johnson all as 50:50 fights.

Marciano would be tough. Tunney might potentially be awkward tho i wouldn't pick him. Frazier is great at hammering the smaller guys.

Louis was a 200lb fighter at his best so i don't consider him.
