Ken and Larry would have had a series of bouts.

I agree. Ken was actually a terrific fighter who if placed under more favorable circumstances might have ended up a top 5-7 ATG on some people's list. George Foreman was the major fly in his ointment..

Absolutely Goo. Also people have trouble seeing past crushing ko's, even when they are past prime.

I've never counted the Gerry C00ney defeat as meaning much of anything. Ken was a lamb for the slaughter at that point. And the shavers loss happened when he was 36 as well... George Foreman was the only man who stopped him in his prime and Big George was on top of the world.. He had just devoured Joe Frazier and might have done the same to just about anyone.. Norton's consistency at always showing up in perfect physical shape and his ability to go 15 rounds in high gear impressed me.. He was a smart boxer with a hard to figure out style and linger with the best of them. And I don't think that getting sparked by Earnie Shavers and George Foreman - two men who rival each other for the title of "hardest puncher ever
" is an indication of necessarily having a glass chin...

Let's be honest, who wouldn't have George ko'd at that point? Not many.

So you said that ****ey would have kod Prime lyle (who proved a much better chin than norton) and you count his defeat like if he was in his Prime but you decide conveniently to change your argument with norton, you are biased like hell ,no credibility in your opinion

Except Lyle's chin isn't what failed him... It was a broken rib caused by a left to the body..:good

I NEVER once said that either Norton or Lyle were prime when they fought C00ney. I think they were good wins because I can't see more than perhaps 10-15 heavys in 1980-81 who were better than those guys were, but I in no way see those defeats as going against their legacies for obvious reasons.

No... Your "interpretation" of those two arguments is not in alignment with my intent..

Why don't you start a poll asking people what they think of YOUR credibility?

Even Chuvalo was handed a stoppage loss by Big George, and that was when Foreman was only a prospect.
