Which lopsided UD12 was more embarassing: Haye or Hamed?

  1. Wlad vs. Haye was NOT close and I don't even have to try to make that out.

Stop trying to defend Hayes cowardly performance by saying "both fighters were afraid to engage". You and other brittards spout nonsense like this and "Haye was sticking his chin out half the fight!".

Wlad was moving forward the whole fight, Haye was in survival mode. Wlad was not afraid to engage, he simply had no reason to go for a wild KO shot when he was controlling the fight. The pressure was on Haye to win by going for the knockout, allowing Wlad to play the role of counter puncher. Haye never opened up, so Wlad was never able to counter.

this is the truth. I was never a massive Hamed fan, but it gets really tedious when noobs watch some MAB/Naseem highlights video instead of watching the actual whole fight. MAB won, but it was far from a shut out.

 Was that made by the arab league or something ? Cant believe i actually watched all of it.

And the answer is clearly Haye. Hamed was fighting a better opponent, wasn't as dominated, actually tried and didnt blame his little toe.

Are you kidding me? Wlad had every physical advantage in that fight and could have cut the ring off, engaged, and finished the little guy if he wanted. It is Wlad's responsibility to press the action and get the much smaller, weaker man out of there. That's what a fighter with extreme physical advantages should do.

This "fight" encapsulates Wlad's entire career.

It's Wlad's responsibility to win the fight.

He won the fight while minimizing risks.

He practiced the art of hit and don't get hit.

This is boxing, maybe it isn't for you. Go watch a Tyson highlight reel or something. Again, it is NOT Wlad's fault Haye ran from him all night and was afraid to engage. It takes two to tango.

In a fight, the man with the physical advantages typically will push the action, utilize those advantages, and take the other guy out, but not Wlad. He allowed Haye to run around, never cut off the ring, and never initiated the action. It is 100% Wlad's fault for allowing this. Wlad could have made Haye engage. It's a fight, he doesn't need a written invitation.

Yes, Tyson would have stepped up the aggression and taken Haye out. So would Lewis, Foreman.... every other HW champ not named Wlad.

You just admitted that Wlad is a safety first fighter who needs an opponent to provide excitement. Thank you for proving his detractors right.

You seem too slow to understand the situation.

The pressure was on Haye to open up against Wlad who was piling up points. Haye ran around the whole fight doing nothing. This is not Wlad's fault, and it takes two to make a fight. Wlad, though bigger, was winning the fight through superior boxing skills. This gave him the luxury of waiting for HAYE to open up so he could counter him. Haye didn't open up.

Does Wlad need a written invitation to engage? Having a smaller man in front of him, who talked massive amounts of trash about him and his family isn't enough? Wlad's fans are the ones who tout him as an ATG and he lets this guy bounce around for 12 rounds.

No other legitimate heavyweight champion lets Haye just run around. They walk in the ring, come forward, get him backing up and finish him off.

Wlad screwed the pooch in this fight. He had his chance to put up a memorable performance and bored the **** out of everybody; to the point that his fights are no longer broadcast in America.
