Both Haney and Broner have been touted as the next Mayweather. Both were badly humbled. Broner's career was never the same.

time will tell with how Haney bounces back. Broner had a lot of success later in the fight and showed tons of heart, Haney showed a lot of heart as well. Haney did hit the canvas more and seemed closer to being KO'd than Broner did. I also think Haney did bank plenty of rounds in the fight but only hurt Garcia once and struggled to do much offensively. Broner I think, been a while since I saw the fight, had more success offensively vs Maidana once his legs got back under him

Broner's offense was more impressive that night. He took more risks instead of clinching and looking to survive.

Maidana is a better fighter than Garcia imo so I would say that loss will be more devastating to Haney.

Maidana ended Broners career as a world titlist. Well, Broner did win a regular belt a few years later but that was the extent of it.
Broner was a 3 division title holder by the age of 24 and hasn´t won a belt in the last 10 years, how crazy is that?

I will be shocked if Haney never wins another belt.

Haney is done as an attraction.

everyone saw him boxed to pieces by Loma and now he gets crushed by Garcia . What is there to sell going forward ?
Allah doesn’t have a plan for that , sorry to say

tank and shakur are not moving up to fight him
He’d lose to his mandatory Sandro Martin and it wouldn’t even be profitable
Garcia isn’t giving him a rematch, why would he he dominated the fight. Garcia wants pit bull or Tank Davis.

Haney is going to get fed to Teofimo I think

No he's not. Stop. It was a setback but Haney is still a viable attraction. Lets face it, sometimes losing and showing vulnerability can increase a fighter's star power. One of the criticisms of Haney is that many of his fights were boring and too one-sided. Well this fight delivered, for the fans. It was a great fight and honestly I think this only helps his stardom. And the fact that he's still Champion, wasn't dethroned adds to the intrigue of a rematch.

Haney´s current position is quite ironic, considering he said something in the lines of: "from now on it´s just the big fights".
He has a lot of rebuilding to do, but the opportunities are there. He still holds the WBC belt and a good performance in a title defense can put him back near he stood just yesterday.
