There have been many discussions about who we consider to be the greatest fighter of all time. However, I'm interested in which mma fighter you guys believed had the greatest prime or peak. I'm not talking about the length or longevity of their prime. But rather which fighter reached the highest peak in MMA history. What do you guys think?
Jon Jones's 2011 was pretty crazy. Also, within the space of just over 12 months Reem won a K1 GP, won the DREAM HW title, beat Werdum in Strikeforce then went to the UFC and demolished Brock. Thats got to be up there.
I have watched mma since the early 2000's and there have been only 2 fighters that have seemed untouchable in their prime, Jon jones and Anderson Silva. Cain Velasquez Wanderlei and Khabib can get honorable mentions
McGregor might be up there Mendes, Aldo, Alvarez is an insane win streak. Aldo also had an extremely long reign against some killers that he expertly dismantled.
Jones. He was arguably the GOAT before he was 25 years old. Just 2011 early 2015 is just wow. Demetrious Johnson would be the 2nd best alternative.
