Jon Jones's boxing is the only thing he doesn't do at a high level in MMA. He is a genius so you can't write him off completley but that doesn't mean it's a good idea. In terms of the youtubers Jake Paul is the only one who sees boxing as more than a hobby.
The thing with Jones is his fighter IQ is on a different level. Even if he has pillow fists hes so smart he cannot be counted out. He is a genius who learned MMA in a few months by watching youtube videos. And because of that he cannot be written off. He might have a 0% KO rate as a pro boxer but I believe he would be able to find ways to win decisions against all but the very best. There is no chance AJ would be able to KO him by round 2 IMO.
Jon Jones doesn't have great boxing abilities. He's a great athlete, who is one of those guys, that the UFC was originally looking for, "The Ultimate Fighter." He's good at all the other stuff, and he's unorthodox, but his actual boxing is not very good and we saw that get exposed by former amateur boxer Alexander Gustafson. AJ vs JJ? Soon as AJ touches him, it's over. Look at Ngannou, a mountain of a man, who crumbled. I can't see Jones taking those punches and lasting.
That's a downgrade. The cage, the announcers, the commentators, the fans, the fight attire, the ring girls. All a step down. It feels like SpikeTV. It doesn't have the allure of boxing. The richness to it. It just sucks in comparison.
Why he should fight MMA fighter again? He got possibility to historical fight for undisputed and You ask this silly question... Tyson Fury should have only 1 fight in his mind . I tell You more. He should have this fight in mind long time ago. Usyk.
His boxing isn't very good. I'm saying hes smart enough where if he really put his mind to it that could change and it could change incredibly fast. No fighter has every gotten more results out of less effort than Jones. Hes a genius. All cards are off the table with him. Francis is not Jon Jones. The threat of Jon Jones is his fighter IQ and being able to figure out things quickly.
Yeah I suppose the UFC cant match the sheer class and scale of being streamed on DAZN fighting in front of 100 people in Saudi Arabia
He can fight who he wants when he retires, but while he has the heavyweight belt, face the best heavyweight boxers.
