Wilder is already a first ballot HOF lock.

He has the potential to go down as an ATG heavy.. which name gets him there?

Wilder was 1 sec from winning fights 1 and 3 versus Fury.

Went out like a Champion in both defeats and passed the Chris Eubank Snr Warrior Code with flying colours.

Not got the best boxing skills but I would not miss any of his fights.

He came out with the most pathetic excuses in boxing history.

A fair assessment I'd say. I gained a lot of respect for him in the Fury fights. Especially the 3rd.

Fight 2 yes but he was disgusted that his corner threw in the towel and would have fought until he dropped.

The ringwalk excuse right out of the Toe Haye school.

The man was ashamed to be defeated and says a lot about his mindset.

Fury v Wilder 3 was one of the great Heavyweight fights and certainly the greatest fight of the current era in the Heavyweight Division.

It was a great fight in the sense that it was evenly matched. But that was mainly due to a lack of motivation for Fury as it was a dead rubber match and Fury coming in out of shape

    For me
    Wilder v Fury (W) 2
    Joshua (W) v Klitschko
    Joshua v Usyk (W)
    Joshua v Ruiz Jr. (W)
were all better this era based on level of performance

No quit in either man that night. That’s why Wilder is far clear of Joshua. One kept getting up on their last legs and the other spat his gum shield out.

Exactly this. I don’t get a lot of the hate for wilder he was great against fury and has some highlight KOs. He’s certainly no Joe Louis but he’s entertaining as hell and seems like a decent guy.

Was it the costume or gypsy magic? I forget now.

What's hilarious is Wilder was known as a can crusher before he met Tyson. Gets flattened by him thrice and has gone up (by 99.9% of Tyson fans) in estimation. 3 losses in boxing was as good as the death penalty at one point. What changed? :)

Wilder is and always has been sheer shyte.

If you watch Fury v Wilder 3, you will see for yourself why his popularity rose.

Boxing fans who did not enjoy that fight may be more suited to watching the Tour de France or F1.

I saw an overrated can crusher whose supposed legendary power fail him for a third time. He got exposed worse than Lacey did against Cals and his stock has to go up? No chance.

Kept getting up? Wilder got up twice, and Joshua got up four times.
