He considers himself British. “I’ve got a British passport and a Canadian passport, and obviously my British passport comes first.”
This should clear things up for you: British-born boxer Lennox Lewis was sent to Canada as a young boy in the 1970s at the behest of his Jamaican-born mother, who was worried that her son would get into trouble with the law if he remained in London's dangerous East End. He soon took up boxing and, by the age of 15, found it difficult to be matched with competitors of his age due to his large size and considerable talent in the ring. By 1983 he was the world amateur junior champion and, shortly thereafter, the Canadian super heavyweight title holder, the first of five consecutive ones that he would earn in the 1980s. He made the national Olympic team in 1984, but lost by decision in the quarter finals of the super heavyweight division to eventual gold medalist Tyrell Biggs. Four years later, in the same category, he took home the gold medal and quickly announced his decision to turn professional, switching allegiances to his native Britain. http://www.sports-reference.com/olympics/athletes/le/lennox-lewis-1.html Lewis was born and bred in London, wasnt sent to Canada til he was 12
Hard to understand why he is preferentially classed as British and cant be classed as being at least part the nationality of the country he was born in, when he can easily be classified as Canadian. Perhaps you should classify him as North American subcontinent, that should raise a hoohaa.
If he is Canadian then how **** must that country be that he's gone out of his way to pretend to be from somewhere else
Oh... So he can classify himself as a person from the British isles, so either Wales, Scotland or England. But he can't specify which one?
He's from NEWHAM BOROUGH, EAST LONDON My SIDE...the streets are COLD...so you better pack some HEAT....SON
