I think that's why Diaz is combining Boxing, with conditioning drills, to increase his stamina and speed. He knows what he's doing.

It also appears to me that in the drills that Diaz is tightening Cottos punches and they are looking straighter giving a more likelihood of connecting

the key point is what does Miguel do once he is timed and floyd has that mid fight moment where he adapts and puts himself in control

does Miguel have another gear, if not can he just keep soldiering on, does he have a plan B or a flexible strategy, can he throw a curveball at floyd and do something we havent seen him do

He'll have a plan b, he said himself that you have to prepare for everything Floyd will bring, in other words you have to prepare for everything he's good at, whether it's an inside fight or boxing match. And Cotto is very versatile and always was even before he got Diaz training him, so it's only gonna help him.

The Judah fight...Floyd will be in much better shape than Judah, is much more versatile than Judah, is not the headcase Judah is, and throws more coordinated punches than Judah. Cotto has a good chance...I just don't see him seeing the final bell..maybe a wide UD...we'll see.

Cotto will also be in much better shape, more versatile, with more weapons than he had when he fought Judah, so it works both ways.

He can't go about replicating something he's done before, he has to look at his current opponent and address the factors therein.

    Why do you say that?

Cotto was in great shape, had plenty of weapons, and was very versatile when he fought Judah? I don't question what you say..just curious as to why you think that?:huh

Mosley plus Margarito 2. Intelligent pressure, a steady jab, intuitive feints and set-ups, combined with elusive lateral movement, quick combination punching, and balanced defensive counter-punching.
