There were some similarities here in that Hopkins put on a bit of theatrics in both bouts to buy a time-out.

And Jones was well past best against Calzaghe and probably even more shot against Hopkins.

Overall, which of the two put the worse beating on the faded legend ?

Calzaghe dominated Jones completely for the last 10 rounds of the fight. Calzaghe would have given a prime Jones his hardest fight of his career, and I genuinely think it would have been a toss-up fight.

Jones is so shot now it's not even funny. He should just retire. He is ruining his reputation but he doesn't seem to give a ****. He handed the disgraceful Hopkins a guaranteed win. I seriously don't think Jones is all there in the head now. He just can't let it go.

Calzaghe. He showed Jones zero respect, even after getting knocked down, and made a fool of Roy Jones. Boxing is 90% mental - I agree with that, and Joe Calzaghe is mentally one of the meanest and most unrelenting boxers of our generation. His only fear was losing. If every fighter was as predictably war-like picking outcomes would be a cakewalk. I'll miss seeing the guy for that. If you put Calzaghe's intensity into some of these more physically gifted guys you get the Pacquiao and Duran types. Can't stand the human frailty aspect in boxing.

Calzaghe - he clowned Jones and carried him for the last 6 rounds of their fight.

Joe did but what diffrence did it make neither man would of beaten him in his prime .Im not giving credit for these wins.Jones is old .

In his prime ..He beat Hopkins with one hand .Against Joe,well at age 40 he drops him at prime he ends up with KO similar to Leonard over Lalonde!

oh let me think you think that was a Prime Joe?

LOl man these poster don't seem to except Joe was past his prime as well. Plus joe was faster and Hit harder in his Prime. Lets just say we don't know who would win Prime For Prime but what we do Know is that When both were past there primes Joe Beat his ass had him Bloody and Clowned his ass. something a past his prime but still top rated Bhop wasn't able to do. Jones IS 80% or 75% what he use to be as far as athletic skill are concerned but his overall Fundament skills he never really perfected. when both fighters were green he beat hopkins when both were past ther prime it came down to Skill and craft and B-hop Was better then Him. End of Story learn to Live with Both.
