    USE YOUR MULTIPLE VOTES.

Who would you bet a significant amount of money on being beat by Pacquiao (either 1-0, 2-0 or 2-1 epic trilogy).

    Pre-aging/fading/Shot,, more-or-less in their primes...:

    Shane Mosley
    Oscar De La Hoya
    Kostya Tszyu
    Pernell Whitaker
    Meldrick Taylor
    Julio Cesar Chavez
    Roger Mayweather
    Aaron Pryor
    Alexis Arguello
    Roberto Duran

Not a discussion of ATG-status.... but of the match-ups... who wins each of these + briefly how or why....

All are Great Fights while they last & in most cases Manny is significantly smaller in stature (so although he wouldn't win, still gets the moral victory :D)

Shane Mosley -- size matters, I can see a good trilogy... & could definitely see Pacquiao winning 2 to 1.... + feel Mosley knocking Pacquiao out is more likely than the reverse (he would test Pacman's chin.. see if it can handle a guy who hits like a Middleweight! & his body too). However, I think all things considered, size matters - 2-1 Mosley

Oscar De La Hoya -- size matters, but less of an issue here because punch-for-punch Mosley hits harder than Oscar! Oscar @ 140 & 147 was the best Oscar, imo. Lots of punches, fast, accurate & nice power-shots...; great jaw. A great trilogy but I see Oscar winning 2-1 (possibly knocking Pacquiao out in one of them!).

Kostya Tszyu -- Although a prime KT has the potential to knock Pacman out, you gotta go with Manny's work-rate & speed (and ofcourse his own power!)

Pernell Whitaker -- 2-0 Sweetpea Decisions.

Meldrick Taylor -- I really liked Meldrick Taylor. His story was tragic in THAT Chavez fight. But I say Pacman got this. TKOs.

Julio Cesar Chavez -- I'm undecided. Thrilling trilogy for sure... 2-1 either way.

Roger Mayweather -- Roger was good but his Def never compared to Floyd's... & he would eat shots aplenty. Manny KO.

Aaron Pryor -- Aaron Pryor... knockouts! (relentless!)... Hagler-Hearns style... great while it lasts!

Alexis Arguello -- I gotta go with the Nicarguan legend

Roberto Duran -- This one is interesting at Lightweight... but I don't think Manny could take so many Duran-hits over the course of a fight long enough to out-work Duran...

    Tszyu, Taylor, Chavez (maybe), Mayweather.

Why the hell is Roger Mayweather even in this poll?? He was never on the same level as the other guys. Pac would lash him into oblivion early.

However, this poll really isn't fair. Pacquiao has fought at super-bantamweight more than he has fought at lightweight and light-welterweight, and some of those guys are big lww's and ww's.

It's like me making a thread asking if Joe Calzaghe would beat Michael Spinks or Qawi or Saad Muhammad, or asking if Floyd Mayweather would beat Hearns or Mike McCallum or Jose Napoles.

While Roger isn't on the level of the other guys, I figured I had to put someone who was on the Hatton-level from that era. Good but not ever amongst the p4p elite! As far as I'm concerned, EVERYONE should be voting Roger as one of theirs... but seems quite a few (5 people) haven't... that's inexcusable. Even if you haven't seen Roger box you should be able to assume it!

They're still fantasy match-ups & it's a credit to Pacquiao that it's being discussed despite size discrepancies. However, I do think it's over-hyped (Manny is NOT small for 140...! and when he fought at 126 & 130 -- he would have been a very decent-sized lightweight!).

    Also, note: 'primes'/close-to.

Pacquiao's best days come from Morales 3 onwards.
Hell, I'd say from Marquez-II onwards, he was a completely REFINED fighter.
(he was damn good unrefined but much easier to beat!! & on a level-below what he is now).

The only one I think he would beat 3 times out of 3 is roger mayweather, i think rest at least would win 2-1 a trilogy against pac, the only one who might be a little harder to pick is tszyu but with tszyu you dont know he has that 1 ko punch that can end the fight so i also would put him ahead 2-1 in a trilogy against pac...

I only voted for Roger Mayweather but its possible Manny might also beat Tszyu & Taylor, those are close ones.

He would get creamed vs the rest in a primes h2h match IMO.

Agree, After seeing this poll again, it is ridiculous how you came up putting all those fighters, and worst people voting pac can beat those fighters, if you wanted some credibility you had done it only with, mayweather, tszyu and taylor, he would never beat the rest, in a trilogy one of them might have an off night or some lucky punch by pac but pac would never win 2 out of 3 against any of the rest, people who think he would its just crazy and they better start watching fights from some of the others fighters in this pool, after watching them again they will see they were really wrong...

gotta give me & DINAMITA props, though. We kept it, civil :D

Funny how twice the number of ppl who voted Mosley have voted DLH!
When Mosley's slow-starts & lesser work-rate make it likelier for him to come out on the losing side of Decisions than prime-DLH vs. Pacquiao! (though given the fact that Mosley hits harder & would hit Pacquiao with more pain-drenched power-shots.... hence why I'd love to see Mosley work Pacquiao's both up & downstairs!!).
