I think the Corbett voters take it!

Only a few weeks ago we saw that decent-quality Corbett vs Fitz clip... which revealed an amateurish Corbett with some nifty footwork, but absolutely nothing else. Anyone who believes Corbett could give away 50 lbs to someone like Tubbs, and come out victorious, needs his head examined!

Peak Tubbs is almost an oxymoron.

Anything close to an in-shape Tubbs would make most of the people on that list look absolutely stupid, Conn and Loughran being the exceptions.

Anyone that watched footage of Corbett and Tubbs, and thinks Corbett was actually better in any facet of boxing, should lay off the crack pipe.

    Tubbs was nearly 37 then.
At that point Corbett had won 1 fight in the last 7 years, and that is widely believed to have been a fix.

None of them, though Corbett and Loughran might come close. People underate how skilled Tony was. Though he was lucky to win the title against an unmotivated Page in 1985.

Both Conn and Loughran would have won by significant margins on the scorecards,...size differentials notwithstanding. Loughran would have tattooed Tubbs with that left jab all night long and Conn would have moved, flurried and would have Tubbs look like a chump.

Do you think of Tubbs as an immobile fighter with limited skills & slow reflexes? Just curious.
