Actually, Mike Spinks still could punch rather well at 200 pounds, but when fighting legends like "Holmes and Tyson" who were over 215 pounds and known to have chins of cement, well, they were able to deal with his power.... But Stephan Tangstad and Gerry Cooney were KTFO...

Cooney was dog tired and still ate everything Spinks had to give until the ref stopped it. He was still on his feet, not exactly Ktfo, although I'll agree Mike did smash Tangstad, those left hooks were brutal

Well, hell, Dokes couldn't punch very hard either with his power, but he had nice combo's south of age 30.....

For me it's gunna come down to Braddock or Hart or Burns or Spinks or funnily enough Carnera or Valuev

I would dispute nearly all those choices to be honest.

While Braddock Hart and Burns are among the weaker lineal champions, power is not the aspect of the game that any of them were particularly weak on. They were all regarded as hitters in their day.

While Carnera was not a particularly hard hitter for a man his size, I am certain that he would not be among the lighter hitting heavyweight champions.

I also have to question people picking Tunney here. He became a prety punishing hitter once his hand problems were resolved.

I am not liking the case for Sharkey either.

Chris Byrd was the first one that came to mind..

Ruiz didn't have much pop either, though he did floor an old Holyfield..

    Valuev is another feather fist...

I thought of Jones Jr as well but though he lifted that title from Ruiz it was pretty much a one and done thing... I never actually saw him as a Heavyweight.. I remember he actually buzzed Ruiz early in that fight though.. At Middleweight RJ could really turn your lights out...
